Meet your coaches!
Chrissy Miller
At seven years old, Chrissy started swimming competitively at her local YMCA. Swimming quickly filled her days year-round. She progressed to a competitive swim program where she accomplished national-level swimming times. During high school, she swam for Scarlet Aquatics, which helped her earn college swimming scholarships. Chrissy attended the University of Kentucky, lettering for two years before she transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park. There, she was named an All-American and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) swimmer of the year. For the past year, she has been a successful swim coach at the Center, where she enjoys being part of our swimming community.
Helen
Swimming always has been a major part of Helen’s life. She started her competitive swimming career at eight years old when she joined her first swim team. She spent ten years on the team. She also swam for her local YMCA team for five years, and one year at Ramapo College. Helen spent eleven summers coaching her community swim team, serving as the head coach for nine of them. For three winter swim seasons, she was part of the coaching staff for a YMCA team. Helen is excited to be part of the coaching staff at the Center. She eagerly anticipates a great season of swimming!
